Does anyone have experience with how long it might take to paddle from Crawleyville to New Harmony? I am planning a group kayak outing and have five signed up so far. Interested in joining us? Let me know.

Come on paddlers!!!

35 views on this post and no one has made the trip??

I suspect the 29 mile stretch will take 5-6 hours of steady paddling.

If you've done it please respond.

I don't know how much this helps, but...

Wabash from St. Francescville, IL to Mt. Carmel, IL
Gauge at Mt. Carmel - 6.25ft
CFS - let call it 17250

We were in a small canoe and a rec kayak. not steady paddling, but we paddled a lot.

according to Paddle Indiana that is a 16.5 mile trip.
we took 7 hours 37 minutes.

The big factor that may vary your mileage is that we were above the confluence of the White River.
and your boats
and your paddling.

Wondering how that trip went and how much time it took. I'm planning to kayak & canoe from Mt. Camel to New Harmony (overnighter) this spring with a few other guys. Never floated the Wabash but have floated several other rivers/creeks big & small. I usually figure 3mph on average. My BIG question is where to camp??
